The origins of QUERCUS PARKET trace back to 1997 with the establishment of STRELA d.o.o., a company that would quickly rise to prominence within the Serbian hardwood industry. Even in its name, the company’s philosophy was embedded—“strela,” meaning arrow, symbolizing precision, direction, and uncompromising quality. This idea became a guiding principle throughout operations, reflected in the company’s dedication to the procurement of oak logs that were straight as an arrow, a standard that defined both raw material selection and final output.
From the very beginning, the focus was clear—exceptional oak and ash, processed with precision and delivered at scale. This commitment to quality was reinforced by STRELA’s position as the largest buyer of Slavonian oak from the Serbian state forestry enterprise Vojvodinašume, secured through a long-term contract established in 1997. This ensured a consistent supply of premium raw material and enabled strict control over log selection in line with the company’s defining philosophy.
By the early 2000s, STRELA had become the largest lumber mill in Serbia specializing in oak and ash, producing both waney edge and square edge lumber for demanding international markets including Italy, Germany, France, and Egypt. At the same time, the company developed a strong domestic presence, manufacturing classic oak and ash parquet flooring for leading construction firms such as Energoprojekt, Planum, and Mostogradnja.
Among the most distinguished references from this period is the Azerbaijani Royal Palace, where parquet produced by STRELA was installed as part of a landmark project executed by Energoprojekt—an enduring testament to the company’s quality and reputation.
Operationally, STRELA reached a remarkable scale. Production ran continuously in three shifts, with daily exports reaching one to two truckloads of oak lumber. At its peak, STRELA stood among the largest exporters of oak wood in the region, defined by both capacity and reliability.
In 2009, the company entered a new phase, rebranding as QUERCUS PARKET and transitioning into a more streamlined ownership structure. This transformation marked a shift from scale-driven production toward a more focused, partnership-oriented business model aligned with the evolving European flooring industry.
During the early years of this transition, the company also operated under the name AURUM QUERCUS—Latin for “golden oak.” This name reflected the high-end, luxury-grade products developed for demanding clients at the time, emphasizing refinement, exclusivity, and premium craftsmanship. The philosophy behind this period naturally carried into the QUERCUS PARKET identity that followed.
Throughout this era, QUERCUS PARKET became a trusted supplier of semi-finished oak components, including strips and square edge elements, serving some of the most respected names in the global flooring market.
A defining relationship was built with Tarkett, one of the world’s leading flooring manufacturers. QUERCUS PARKET supplied raw materials both to Tarkett’s production facility in Bačka Palanka and, prior to that, to their operations in Poland—at one point becoming their largest supplier in Serbia. This partnership, grounded in consistency and mutual trust, remains strong to this day.
The company also collaborated with renowned European brands such as Weitzer Parkett and Bauwerk, while continuing to supply high-quality oak lumber to leading Italian manufacturers including Cora and Florian. Throughout this period, QUERCUS PARKET strengthened its reputation not only as a producer, but as a reliable and knowledgeable partner within the European hardwood ecosystem.

In 2020, QUERCUS PARKET entered a new chapter of international expansion through a strategic joint venture with CAMPICO Global Flooring, a Chinese-owned company and the first flooring factory of its kind established in Cambodia. Located in Sihanoukville, this advanced production facility focuses on three-layer oak flooring and primarily serves the United States market, with a strong presence along the West Coast, including California and Seattle.
This collaboration represents a natural convergence of expertise. While CAMPICO contributes advanced manufacturing and global distribution, QUERCUS PARKET brings deep-rooted knowledge of European oak sourcing, operational reliability, and a long-established reputation within the timber industry.
With a network of over 200 industry contacts across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, QUERCUS PARKET plays a central role in connecting regional raw material supply with international production. Built on nearly three decades of trust and performance, the company’s name carries significant weight—opening doors, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring continuity across markets.
What began as a 10-year joint venture has already proven to be far more than a contractual collaboration. It is a long-term strategic relationship founded on shared values, professionalism, and mutual respect.
Today, QUERCUS PARKET stands as a specialized and forward-looking producer, including the production of oak veneer and oak wear layers—continuing to evolve while remaining firmly rooted in the principles that have defined it since 1997.
From its earliest beginnings to the present day, the company has remained fully family-owned, with the second generation now actively leading and continuing the legacy with the same dedication, integrity, and long-term vision.
